Tickets, shopping and a national day of giving – we have several new ideas and new options for supporting literacy this season.
Need a holiday gift for someone who seems to have everything? What about tickets to our 7th Annual Writers for Readers Book and Author Event. We have a great line-up of authors – Sarah Dessen, Jay Leutze and Daniel Wallace. They’ll be talking about reading, writing and the importance of literacy in a panel discussion moderated by David Hartman (the original host of Good Morning America). Click here to purchase tickets online.
If you’re shopping online this year, check out our Amazon Smiles connection. By clicking through the Amazon Smiles logo on our website, you’ll ensure that a percentage of your purchase goes to support adult and family literacy in Orange County. Click here for our Amazon Smiles link.
Orange Literacy is participating in #Giving Tuesday, a national effort to encourage donations and volunteers as we enter into the holiday season. Scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd, Giving Tuesday is the philanthropic answer to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Click here to check out our page.
And if you prefer a more traditional channel for donations, we have created two wish lists – one for our ABE/GED/ESOL programs and one for our Family Literacy Program. Or you can connect to our online donation site by clicking on the Donate Now button that appears through our website.
We appreciate very much your continued support – with a community of partners, we can make a difference.
