Orange Literacy is seeking a part-time (approximately 5-6 hours per week) GED instructor to teach a multi-level class of adult students whose goals include preparing for and passing the GED exams. The class is open to all residents of the Gateway Village apartment complex in Hillsborough and will be held on-site in a small multi-purpose computer lab room in one of the apartment buildings. The instructor will be responsible for planning his/her own lessons and providing instruction for a small group of 3-8 students. Class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm, beginning on March 15th and ending in early June. This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of renewal in the fall. Candidates should have prior ABE/GED teaching experience. Flexibility and experience working in non-traditional educational settings is a plus. Orange Literacy will provide instructional materials and support.
